Terms of Service

A plain-language draft, published in the open. It reflects how the product actually works — but it is not legal advice, and it will be reviewed by counsel before the paid enclave GA. If something here is unclear or wrong, tell us.

These terms govern your use of the Attestal website and service, operated byPeter Lodri EV (EU VAT HU69757200). By using the service you agree to them. If you are using it for an organisation, you confirm you're authorised to bind that organisation.

The service

Attestal runs LLM fine-tuning pipelines and produces a signed, immutable audit record of what was checked and whether it passed. It is offered in two tiers with deliberately different data terms.

Open (free) tier

  • What you get: access, when a slot is free, to a real fine-tuning run on shared GPUs, with the same audit record as the paid tier, subject to fair-use caps (base-model size, step/wall-clock limits, runs per period, and a queue). Caps may change; we'll keep them documented.
  • The catch, restated: your submitted dataset and the resulting weights are retained by us and may be published under an open licence to a public corpus. Free means public. See the Privacy Policy.
  • Your licence to us: you grant Attestal a worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to host, process, evaluate, and publish the free-tier dataset and resulting weights for operating and improving the service and the open corpus.
  • Your warranty: you have the rights to everything you submit, and it contains no personal data, secrets, or unlawful content. The free tier is not for confidential or regulated data.
  • No support and no warranty: the free tier is provided "as is", with guidance docs instead of a support desk, and no availability or fitness guarantee.

Enclave (paid) tier

  • Fine-tuning runs in your cloud account under a scoped credential you grant and revoke. Your data and weights stay in your tenancy; we never receive or access them.
  • Commercial terms, SLAs, support, and a data processing agreement are set in a separate order/agreement. These website terms don't override that agreement where they conflict.
  • You remain responsible for your own cloud costs, which you pay your provider directly — we are not a reseller of your compute.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use Attestal to:

  • submit data you don't have the right to use, or that contains others' personal data without a lawful basis;
  • attempt to run arbitrary code on, attack, or exceed the fair-use limits of the shared free-tier infrastructure;
  • produce models intended to cause harm, or that violate applicable law or third-party rights.

We may suspend or remove runs and access that break these rules, and remove unlawful content from the open corpus.

Intellectual property

You keep ownership of your inputs. On the enclave tier you own the resulting weights. On the free tier, the open licence above applies to the dataset and weights so they can join the public corpus. The Attestal name, site, and software are ours.

Disclaimers & liability

The service is provided without warranties except where required by law. To the maximum extent permitted, our aggregate liability for the free tier is limited to zero (it is free), and for the paid tier is governed by the separate agreement. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law (including for death, personal injury, or fraud).

Governing law & contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Hungary, with the courts of Hungary having jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence. Questions:[email protected]. We may update these terms; material changes are posted here and announced on the build log.
